Federal Advisory Committees
The Local Government Advisory Committee is a formal advisory committee composed
primarily of elected and appointed local officials. Learn more about the
Committee and its Small Community Advisory Subcommittee.
Local Government Resource Center
The Agency's Local Government Resource Center provides prompt response and
attention to the environmental concerns of the nation's local government
officials. The Resource Center serves as a "one-stop shop" for local government
officials on information about and assistance with EPA's programs, policies
and procedures.
State and Local Relations
EPA cultivates relationships with state, local, and regional governments across many environmental programs. These vital connections help communities better protect their own environments while enhancing the effectiveness of EPA's programs.
