Pulp/Paper/Lumber Sector
The lumber and wood products sector covers logging, sawing, planeing, milling and the manufacture of such products as: wood containers, veneer, plywood, particle board, oriented strand board, structural members, engineered wood and preserved/treated wood. The sector is now classified under the 2007 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) as code 321 .
The pulp and paper sector manufactures pulp (mostly from wood), and then use the pulp to manufacture a range of products including paper, paperboard, envelopes and corrugated containers. The sector is now classified under the 2007 NAICS as code 322.
