MBD/WBE Instructions
The MBE/WBE Grant Rates database can be accessed through this web site. It has been designed to help you easily navigate to the information you desire to view.First, you must consider how you want the information displayed on your computer screen. You have four choices:
Once you have selected the 'View' on the far left hand you will see a blue 'twisty'. By clicking on a 'twisty' you will reveal more information on any given topic.

You can also use the 'Quick Search' feature to search for a character string in the highest level of the view.
Search
'Quick Search' is located at the top on the right. By clicking on 'Quick Search' you can start typing the name associated with the level you want to find. Press 'Enter' to go directly to that place in the view.
Definations
Recipient Name - This is the name of the recipient entity for which the rate has been negotiated. This entity can be any kind of recipient organization or negotiating unit, i.e. state, state department, university, etc.
EIN (Employer Id Number) - This is the 9-digit code taxpayer identification code assigned by the Department of Treasury. The system will accept 'na' when EIN is not available for that organization.
State - 2-character postal state code.
Region - The geographical region for the organization.
Recipient Type - The single character code identifying the type of organization.
Rate Type - The rate type for this record. Each organization can have a separate negotiated MBE rate (MBE) and a negotiated WBE rate (WBE) or it can have a single negotiated rate for both MBE and WBE (BOTH).
