Long Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule (LT2)If you are implementing the Long Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule (LT2) and are interested in trainings, you may use our on-line training module or request a Webcast. New Webcasts and other training opportunities will be posted. Training ModulesOn-line training modules have been developed to provide additional guidance and instruction to utility and laboratory personnel on LT2 sample collection and analysis. These training modules are meant to complement and expand on the guidance manuals developed for the LT2. The following training modules require the use of the Flash player plug-in. WebcastsLT2 Source Water SamplingCourse Description: This Webcast covers source water sampling for LT2 monitoring. Topics include sampling locations, sample collection techniques, packing and shipping samples, and arranging for laboratory analytical services. The Webcast is intended for public water systems and other personnel that will be collecting source water samples for the LT2. Using the Data Collection and Tracking System (DCTS) to Comply with the LT2Course Description: This Webcast will cover the following topics: registering for DCTS using the CDX Web site; submitting an LT2 intent to grandfather, source water monitoring data, or intent to provide full treatment using DCTS; entering sample schedules and creating facilities; and how a public water system can identify their laboratory and upload and review Cryptosporidium and E. coli samples. Stage 2 Disinfectants and Disinfection Byproducts Rule (Stage 2 DBPR)If you are implementing the Stage 2 rule and are interested in trainings, you may use our on-line training module or request a Webcast. WebcastsOverview of the Stage 2 DBPR & LT2Course Description: The first half of the four-hour Webcast discusses Stage 2 and the second half addresses LT2. The Webcast covers both early implementation and rule compliance requirements. How to Submit Your Stage 2 IDSE Plan Electronically Using the IDSE ToolCourse Description: The goal of this Webcast training is to inform the Stage 2 systems how to request CDX and DCTS access, how to access the IDSE Tool, and, finally, how to submit electronically via the IDSE Tool. The training will review how to fill out the Standard Monitoring Plan, the System Specific Study Plan, and the 40/30 certification templates electronically. It will also address how to generate and submit a PDF file. IDSE Tool & DCTS: Implementation Tools for Early Implementation of Stage 2 DBPR & LT2 for EPA Regions and StatesCourse Description: General information on the IDSE tool, DCTS & IPMC, demonstration on how to find LT2 information submitted by systems & laboratories in the DCTS, how to create reports to track both LT2 & Stage 2 submissions, demonstrate how reviewers will be able to go into the DCTS & approve/disapprove Stage 2 submissions, how to utilize the IDSE tool. Q & A session will also be part of the training. IDSE Tool & DCTS: Implementation Tools for Early Implementation of Stage 2 DBPR & LT2 for Systems & LaboratoriesCourse Description: General information about the IDSE Tool & DCTS, demonstration on how labs will upload Crypto, E. Coli samples, show how systems will be able to approve/contest samples, display the IDSE tool wizard & how it determines IDSE requirements, exhibit the IDSE Plan/Report & how it allows systems to submit IDSE submissions online. Q & A sections will also be part of the training. Tools for Compliance with the Stage 2 DBPR & LT2Course Description: The Webcast will discuss the Data Collection and Tracking System (DCTS), Individual Distribution System Evaluation (IDSE) Tool, and the Information Processing & Management System (IPMC).
