The Office of Congressional, Public Affairs, and Management performs communications and resource management functions. Specifically:

  • Congressional and Public Affairs staff provide communications and liaison services to Congress, the public, and the media. The staff edit, publish, and distribute OIG reports that address needed Agency improvement, and manage information posted on the OIG Website. The staff also operate the OIG hotline.

  • Management, Planning, and Results staff are responsible for OIG’s budget formulation, execution, and monitoring. They also coordinate OIG strategic and annual planning, policies and procedures, audit follow-up, performance measurement and reporting, contracting, and internal control assessment.

  • Human Capital staff are responsible for providing OIG-wide direction, policies, and leadership for all aspects of human capital programs and functions and human resources personnel operations and recruitment. They serve as the principal advisors and provide strategies and plans to senior leadership in these areas.
