Transportation Conformity Regulations

  • Transportation Conformity:  Restructuring Amendments.

Other Regulations for the 2008 Ozone NAAQS

  • Implementation of the 2008 National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Ozone: Nonattainment Area Classifications Approach, Attainment Deadlines and Revocation of the 1997 Ozone Standards for Transportation Conformity Purposes (77 FR 30160): Among other things, this final rule provides for the revocation of the 1997 ozone NAAQS for transportation conformity purposes to occur 1 year after the effective date of designations for the 2008 ozone NAAQS. Therefore, as of July 20, 2013, transportation conformity will no longer apply to the 1997 ozone NAAQS.
  • Air Quality Designations for the 2008 Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards (77 FR 30088): This final rule establishes initial air quality designations for most areas in the United States, including areas of Indian country, for the 2008 primary and secondary ozone NAAQS.
  • Air Quality Designations for the 2008 Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Several Counties in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin; Corrections to Inadvertent Errors in Prior Designations (77 FR 34221): This rule completes the initial air quality designations for the 2008 primary and secondary NAAQS for ozone.
  • EPA's 2008 Ozone NAAQS Regulatory Actions page contains a chronological listing of regulatory actions related to designations for the 2008 ozone NAAQS.
