The Office of Cross-Media Programs (OCMP) is responsible for building and fostering systems and approaches that promote improved environmental performance by business and communities.
OCMP conducts its work through three integrated divisions, which provide the following functions:
- Sector Strategies Division: Improves environmental protection, energy efficiency, and resource management in major U.S. manufacturing and business sectors by developing action strategies to reduce barriers to progress and drive performance improvement.
- Development, Community, and Environment Division: Promotes smart growth: development that improves the economy, community, environment and public health
- Performance Track Division: Builds the National Environmental Performance Track program as a strategy of improving environmental performance, transforming relationships, and encouraging innovation.
OCMP also coordinates Agency-wide implementation of EPA’s Green Building Strategy through the Green Building Coordination Team. The National Center for Environmental Innovation complements OCMP's work. Both offices support environmental innovation.
