Ampelomyces quisqualis isolate M-10 is a fungus that attacks powdery mildew, which is a major crop pest.   2. Ampelomyces quisqualis isolate M-10 was initially isolated from powdery mildew that had infected certain plants in Israel. For commercial use, producers grow the fungus Ampelomyces quisqualis isolate M-10 in a liquid nutrient mixture, and then collect and dry the spores. The spores are stored as a dry powder. They are mixed with water to reactivate them, and then the mixture is applied to crops.

  5. Based on required toxicity tests, no risks to humans are expected from handling or eating food containing small amounts of Ampelomyces quisqualis isolate M-10.
