Summary
The active ingredient is a yeast that inhibits growth of harmful fungi when applied after harvest. Candida oleophila isolate I-182 can be used on fruits, vegetables, other food crops, greenhouse plants, and ornamentals. No adverse effects are expected from use of this yeast because 1) it is used primarily indoors, and 2) studies show that it is not toxic or pathogenic to animals.

- Use Sites: Various fruits, vegetables, flowers, ornamentals, other plants. It is usually used indoors, for example, in food processing plants and in greenhouses.
- Target pests: Molds and rots that infect plants and fruits after harvest
- Application Methods: Use as a spray or as a dip. A chemical fungicide is sometimes added to the yeast mixture to enhance the fungicidal effect.

By colonizing fruit and other plant surfaces, especially wounded tissues, Candida oleophila isolate I-182 inhibits growth of harmful fungi
Based on required toxicity tests, no risks to humans are expected from use of products containing Candida oleophila isolate I-182. As a precaution, workers who apply the fungicide are required to wear a dust mask.
Risks to non-target organisms or the environment are not expected because the use is largely indoors, and the active ingredient does not show toxicity in animal tests. The product label warns users not to contaminate water when cleaning the application equipment, nor to allow runoff into bodies of water.
