Lyme Disease Association, Inc.

The Lyme Disease Association (LDA), an organization which expanded its focus nationally about 7 years ago, is dedicated to Lyme disease education, prevention, and raising research dollars. LDA has tick-borne disease prevention as put of its mission. LDA and its umbrella organizations host programs and speak to the public, health care providers, corporations, schools, and government officials. Part of the education includes how to prevent tick-borne diseases using tick checks and clothing tips. Repellents and acaracides are mentioned as options with cautions to be informed consumers about the risks and benefits.
