University of Maryland - Department of Residential Facilities
(PESP Partner since September 2005)
University of Maryland, Department of Residential Facilities, has responsibility for over 1.8 million square feet of undergraduate apartments and residence halls and 297,000 square feet of recreation facilities. DRF actively seeks and implements building maintenance methodologies that reduce the amount of hazardous materials campus residents may be exposed to. Structural pests have been addressed using an in-house Integrated Pest Management program for more than a quarter of a century. More recently, the department has begun to adopt a green approach to housekeeping products and practices.
