For Release: September 30, 2011

On September 30, 2011, the Pesticide Program released its response to the comments received on its proposed plan for increasing the safety of spot-on flea and tick products for pets. The mitigation plan was developed as the result of an intensive examination in 2009-2010 of reported incidents of companion animals being harmed by registered spot-on flea and tick products.
