Pesticide News Story: Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee to Meet May 3-4, 2012

EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) will hold a public meeting of the Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee (PPDC) on Thursday, May 3, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, and Friday, May 4, from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm. The meeting will be held in EPA’s first floor conference center at One Potomac Yard, 2777 South Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA 22202. Information on the location of EPA’s building and how to reach it by public transportation or car is available at http://www.epa.gov/pesticides/contacts/officelocation.htm.

Agenda topics include Pollinator Protection, Integrated Pest Management, Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program, Registration Review and Water Quality Process Improvements, Economic Definition of Minor Use, Sustainability and the U.S. EPA, Endangered Species Act Issues, an update from the PPDC Workgroup on 21st century toxicology, and additional updates on other topics of interest.

In addition, the following PPDC work groups are scheduled to meet in sessions open to the public on May 2:  PPDC Work Group on Integrated Pest Management from 9:00 am-12:30 pm in the first floor Conference Center; PPDC’s Comparative Safety Statements Work Group from 1:00-4:00 pm in Conference Room S-4370-80, PY South; PPDC’s Public Health Work Group from 1:00-4:00 pm in  Conference Room N-4830, PY North; and PPDC’s Pollinator Protection Work Group from 1:00-4:00 pm in the 1st Floor Conference Center, PY South. On May 3, the 21st Century Toxicology Work Group will meet from 12:00 - 1:15pm in Conference Room N-4830, PY North.  All meetings are free and open to the public. No advance registration is required.
