Pesticide News Story: Antimicrobial Pesticide Registrants Get Time-limited Opportunity to Review Toxicity Reference Database – Webinar Planned
For Release: February 3, 2012
EPA has recently entered toxicology data for antimicrobial pesticides into the Toxicity Reference Database. The ToxRefDB, which was developed as part of EPA’s ToxCastTM research program, is a structured and searchable relational database capable of storing chemical toxicity data from animal studies. To make sure that all data in ToxRefDB are accurate, the agency is offering data submitters time to review toxicity data records based on their submissions and offer corrections. Only the submitters of data will be able to review their own records. Toxicity data submitters can check whether their chemicals are in the ToxRefDB by reviewing the chemical list at http://actor.epa.gov/toxrefdb/faces/Home.jsp. If data submitters do not submit changes to their data, EPA will assume that the data are accurate. The registrant’s opportunity for review and correction will be available from March 1, 2012 through May 1, 2012.
In addition, EPA will be hosting a webinar to assist data submitters in conducting this review of the ToxRefDB and to address any comments or concerns. This webinar will be held on February 16th at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and can be accessed through the following link: https://epa.connectsolutions.com/ttc/. For more information on how to review ToxRefDB records, you may send an e-mail to Matt Martin (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Tim McMahon (email@example.com).
