Comment Period Being Extended on Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals White Paper

EPA will extend the comment period on the White Paper entitled, "The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals: Implementation Planning Issues for the Office of Pesticide Programs." The Agency announced the availability of the White Paper in a Federal Register notice published August 25. The original comment period was set to end on October 25, 2004.

A Federal Register notice announcing the extension is expected to publish Friday, October 22. Comments, identified by docket identification (ID) number OPP- 2004-0205, must now be received on or before the 45th day after the Federal Register publication date.
