Registration Review Final Rule
FIFRA Section 3(g) directs EPA to establish by regulation procedures for reviewing pesticide registrations, with a goal of reviewing each pesticide's registration every 15 years. The purpose of this review is to assure that a pesticide continues to meet the FIFRA standard for registration.
- Final Registration Review Rule and Program Implementation - After considering public comments
received, EPA published the final registration review rule in the Federal Register on August 9, 2006, with an effective date of October 10, 2006. The Agency began implementing the registration review program in fall 2006.

Rule - EPA's proposed Procedural Regulations for Registration Review
were published in the Federal Register on July 13, 2005. The 90-day
public comment period closed on October 11, 2005.

- ANPRM - EPA issued an Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM)
for the registration review program in April 2000, explaining the Agency's
general goals in implementing the statutory provisions and presenting
its initial concept of how the program might operate. Public comments
were helpful in developing the proposed rule.
