Bradyrhizobium japonicum TSCA Experimental Release Applications (TERA) for Field Trials: Fact Sheet

On March 2, 1999, the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics received TSCA Experimental Release Applications (TERA) under the biotechnology regulations promulgated under the Toxic Substances Control Act (62 FR 17910 (April 11, 1997)) which are modifications of previous submissions R98-001-003. The submissions involve the field trial of two strains of Bradyrhizobium japonicum: the strain previously designated R98-001, which is now designated R99-002 under this modification, and R98-003, now R99-003. The microorganism previously designated as R98-002 has been dropped from the field trial. The modifications requested in these new submissions are simply a change in the number and locations of the field trial sites. There have been no changes to the microorganisms themselves. For a copy of the nonconfidential submission, please contact the TSCA Non Confidential Information Center (NCIC) by phone at 202-566-0280 , or by fax at 202-566-0282.
