Microbial Commercial Activity Notices (MCAN) for modified Trichoderma reesei from CBI Company

On June 25, 2003, the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) received two Microbial Commercial Activity Notice (MCAN) from CBI company, submitted under the biotechnology regulations promulgated under the Toxic Substances and Control Act (62 FR 17910 (April 11, 1997); codified at 40 C.F.R. Part 725). The MCANs were given the EPA tracking designation J-03-01 and J-03-02. The recipient microorganism is Trichoderma reesei strains CBI. The new microorganisms are Trichoderma reesei strains CBI. These microorganisms will be used to produce enzymes for commercial use.
