Microbial Commercial Activity Notices (MCAN) for modified Trichoderma reesei from Genencor International Inc., j04-01

On January 2, 2004, the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) received a Microbial Commercial Activity Notice (MCAN) from Genencor International Inc., submitted under the biotechnology regulations promulgated under the Toxic Substances and Control Act (62 FR 17910 (April 11, 1997); codified at 40 C.F.R. Part 725). The MCAN was given the EPA tracking designation J-04-01. The recipient microorganism is Trichoderma reesei strain RL-P37. The new microorganism is Trichoderma reesei strain 34-6 (information not claimed as Confidential Business Information (CBI)). This microorganism will be used to manufacture a glucoamylase enzyme for commercial use.
