The Chemical Data Reporting (CDR) Rule requires manufacturers (including importers) to submit information on the chemical they produce domestically or import into the United States during the principal reporting year. For the 2012 submission period, reporters provided 2011 manufacturing, processing, and use data and 2010 production volume data for their reportable chemical substances.

On February 11, 2013, EPA released the non-confidential 2012 Chemical Data Reporting information on chemical production and use in the U.S.

February 11, 2013 -- EPA released the non-confidential 2012 Chemical Data Reporting information on chemical production and use in the United States. The 2012 CDR preliminary data contains the most current CDR data available and reflects manufacturing, processing and use information for calendar year 2011 from manufacturers (including importers) of certain chemicals on the TSCA Chemical Substance Inventory. You can use this data to find out what chemicals are being produced and used at industrial sites in the United States.

The deadline for CDR submissions for the 2012 reporting period ended on August 13, 2012. EPA is continuing to provide support to companies through a range of resources:
