Status: EPA is reviewing a pilot study report on formaldehyde levels in a newly-built conventional house and updating its indoor air model to account for important indoor environmental factors determined in the pilot study. EPA is planning to use the new model to estimate a new set of housing exposure scenarios. A public meeting is planned for 1998 on the need for additional indoor exposure testing in order to decide on the future course of the exposure testing initiative and regulatory investigation. Attachment A for information on voluntary Product Stewardship Program activities relating to this chemical.
