Status: Closed. All required tests for FRM and CO have been completed. Test results have been forwarded to the Risk Assessment Division for review and disposition.

Announced Receipt of Test Data

Dow Chemical Co. submitted results of a chronic inhalation oncogenicity test (rat) (51 FR 27598; August 1, 1986). This study was part of a voluntary testing program.

The Halogenated Solvents Industry Alliance submitted results of a developmental toxicity study (rabbits, rats) pursuant to a test rule (52 FR 26564; July 15, 1987).

Halogen Solvents Industry Alliance (HSIA) submissions describe an acute inhalation neurophysiology test and a mouse micronucleus test (55 FR 50055; December 4, 1990).

HSIA submitted acute motor activity and neurophysiology tests on rats by gavage (56 FR 5688; February 12, 1991).

A validation of a short-term memory test on rats using scopolamine and methscopolamine was submitted (56 FR 24191; May 29, 1991).

HSIA submitted a neurotoxicological study on rats exposed to 1,1,1-trichloroethane vapors for 13 weeks (56 FR 28893; June 25, 1991).

Test data was submitted by HSIA pursuant to a consent order and received by EPA on June 22, 1993. The submission describes the “examination of rats for developmental neurotoxicologic effects from maternal exposure to 1,1,1-trichloroethane” (58 FR 40427; July 28, 1993).
