About This Project | Findings & Accomplishments | Publications | Partners

The Garment and Textile Care Partnership sponsored a number of wetcleaning seminars across the United States. Now that two new cleaning processes are commercially available (liquid carbon dioxide and a silicone-based solvent), the program has expanded its outreach activities to include information about those processes as well. The program developed a number of documents for nontechnical audiences, including a fact sheet on Major Federal Regulations for Petroleum Solvent Drycleaners, case studies on wetcleaning, liquid carbon dioxide, an aqueous process for leather and suede garments, and other new processes, as well as a summary version of the CTSA, a CTSA Fact Sheet, and Frequently Asked Questions About Drycleaning. Information about new technologies will be available in the future.
