Symposium Overview:
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has joined with the
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration, and several medical/public health associations to provide
a state-of-the-art program on the medical and public health aspects of
mercury exposure. This symposium will bring together members of the healthcare,
scientific, public health and environmental professions. Participants
will improve their understanding of how the medical, public health and
environmental communities can better communicate on mercury-related issues
and assist practitioners in better advising their patients on mercury
exposures.
