Career Opportunities in the Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics
The Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) offers a variety of projects that support EPA's mission of protecting human health and the environment. OPPT seeks to recruit exceptional men and women who will work in new, creative ways that are cleaner for the environment, cheaper for business and taxpayers, and smarter for America's future.
OPPT staff members, including a large number of scientists, work together serving our regulatory and voluntary programs, which assess the potential for hazards to human health and the environment from exposure to chemicals, as provided under the Toxic Substances Control Act and the Pollution Prevention Act. Here is a sample of the jobs which may be available:
- Environmental Engineer

When OPPT recruits for specific positions, the job opportunities are found on USA JOBS --- the official job site of the US federal government.
Information on opportunities within OPPT for students and recent college graduates can be found at http://www.epa.gov/oppts/pubs/oppts_careers.htm.
