Final Rule: Supplementary Documents

The documents found on the following pages were developed to support or supplement the Biotechnology rule. The docket index lists all the support documents for the final rule, all of which can be found in Docket number 00049C of the OPPT Nonconfidential Information Center (NCIC). The Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA) explains the economic impacts of these rules, and can be accessed by index, by chapter or by a compressed file containing the entire document. The Information Collection Request (ICR) is a document required by the government before any information can be collected from outside the Agency. The ICR states what information will be collected, from whom, and to what use the information will be put. Finally the ten microbial assessments were developed to support the decision to exempt from some reporting requirements certain intergeneric microorganisms used under specific conditions.
