Identification of Chemicals
Twelve substances which are suspected developmental and/or reproductive toxicants are being proposed for developmental and/or reproductive toxicity testing. Substances selected as candidates for this rule met one or more of the following criteria: (1) EPA received a TSCA Section 8(e) notice of substantial risk; (2) available screening data or other data suggest evidence that the substances may be toxic and more definitive data are needed to adequately assess risk; (3) available data on structurally related substances provide suggestive evidence that the substance may be toxic; and (4) adequate developmental toxicity data on one mammalian species are available, but testing in additional mammalian species is needed to adequately assess risk. Attachment A for the chemicals addressed in this notice.
