ETV Plans Collaboration With EPA Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water on Test Plans for E. coli and Total Coliform Test Kits

Management from the ETV Advanced Monitoring Systems (AMS) Center, operated in cooperation with Battelle, have scheduled a meeting on August 6 with representatives of the EPA Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water (OGWDW) Technical Support Center to discuss an opportunity to collaboratively develop verification test plans related to E. coli and total coliform test kits for drinking water. These kits are a fast and low-cost alternative for qualitatively and quantitatively determining the presence of E. coli and total coliform in drinking water. The collaboratively developed test plans could prove useful as OGWDW considers future revisions to the drinking water Alternative Testing Procedures (ATP) protocol. Additionally, the ETV AMS Center is exploring opportunities to partner with OGWDW for future technology verifications. For more information, please contact John McKernan, EPA, at (513) 569-7415 or mckernan.john@epa.gov.

ETV Verified Technologies

The ETV Program has verified the performance of 408 innovative environmental technologies that can be used to monitor, prevent, control, and clean up pollution. See the full list of ETV verified technologies.
