The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) keeps a list of household hazardous waste collection programs around the state. These collections occur at limited times during the year. Residents are asked to hold their bulbs until collection time. Rules regarding collection events may vary per event. Call the numbers listed for more information.

Several towns in Maine have collection points where residents can drop off their used bulbs. Most of these collections are reserved for residents only, however locations listed in blue can receive waste from any Maine
