EPA Unveils New Hispanic Outreach Materials

On June 18, EPA launched its "You Dump It, You Drink It" campaign at the League of United Latin American Citizens' National Convention in Orlando, Florida.

The campaign, an outreach program designed especially for service station owners and employees, and people who change their own oil, focuses on the management and recycling of used motor oil and provides a number of free outreach materials, printed in Spanish and in English. The materials include informational posters, a brochure, order form and even bumper stickers, and were developed using information collected during a series of focus groups, one-on-one and telephone interviews, and on-the-job observations of employees in Hispanic communities throughout the country.

The "You Dump It, You Drink It" materials are part of EPA's ongoing effort to educate all Americans about how they can take individual responsibility for our environment.
