Conduct demographic analysis of innovative technology sites.
Region 6
Several Region 6 staff are active members of the Technology Transfer and Training Committee (T3 AC), a subset of the Hazardous Substance Research Centers-South and Southwest (funded through grants from EPA), and are involved in reviewing ongoing research projects with an eye toward transfer of the resulting technologies to the private sector.
Region 6 staff participated in HSRC-S&SW T3 AC meetings in August 1994 and had discussions regarding available sub-grants for Historic Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Applications were solicited from HBCUs for research proposals, which were reviewed by the group at its meeting in March 1995. One proposal, submitted by Dr. Robert Bullard of Clark-Atlanta University, was accepted.
