EPA would like to hear about your experiences with the way the Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response (OSWER) and regional programs engage communities and stakeholders, and about your ideas on how public engagement in these decision-making processes can be enhanced. OSWER seeks and encourages feedback from communities, stakeholders, local governments, tribes and states on the available documents and processes.
Under Action 1, OSWER developed and posted program work plans, which identify specific processes that should be evaluated and potentially revised to enhance public participation. OSWER seeks public comment on these work plans and on program process diagrams, which have been developed to increase transparency of the opportunities for community involvement. Additionally, National Workgroups were formed to develop recommendations to advance EPA technical assistance, delivery of information, and training. OSWER seeks public feedback on the draft recommendations from the National Workgroups. To review and comment on the Draft Recommendation Reports, please click on the reports listed below.
