$600 Million in Superfund Money Distributed to 50 Sites in 28 States
April 15 - EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson today announced $600 million in new funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for the cleanup of hazardous waste (Superfund) sites across the nation. April 8 - In an effort to protect people where they live, work, and play, EPA announced the distribution of $197 million appropriated under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to assess and clean up underground storage tank petroleum leaks.
