On December 2-4, 2008, The Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response (OSWER) held a Tribal Forum in Washington, DC. The forum brought together more than 25 tribal representatives from across the nation, tribal associations, OSWER senior managers, EPA regional representatives, and representatives from EPA programs to discuss priority environmental topics in Indian country and Alaska native villages. The goal of the forum was to begin implementing a new tribal strategy in partnership with Native American tribes.
