In 2008, EPA developed a one-day workshop to provide an opportunity for casino managers and tribal environmental and government representatives to learn more about how facilities can make changes to save money and reduce environmental impacts. A green casino goes beyond compliance with environmental regulations and demonstrates environmental leadership by maximizing pollution prevention, alternative energy, and conservation opportunities.
