RE-Powering America’s Land
Technical Assistance and Support
- As part of the RE-Powering America’s Land Initiative, the EPA and the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) are evaluating the feasibility of developing renewable energy production on Superfund, brownfields, and former landfills or mining sites. This project pairs EPA’s expertise on contaminated sites with the renewable energy expertise of NREL. You can view these feasibility studies on the EPA/NREL Feasibility Studies web page.
- EPA developed a series of incentive sheets that contain information about federal and state incentives that are available for renewable energy generation and contaminated land redevelopment in each state. You can view these fact sheets on the RE-Powering Incentives Fact Sheets web page.
