June 15, 1998 Document Released for Stakeholder Review and Comment Update of Fleet Characterization Data for Use in MOBILE6 Document Number M6.FLT.002. The Office of Mobile Sources, Assessment and Modeling Division, announces the release of the document "Update of Fleet Characterization Data for Use in MOBILE6" for stakeholder review and comment. This document (M6FLT002.pdf) is available at the MOBILE6 section of the OMS Web Site (http://www.epa.gov/omswww/models.htm). Document M6.FLT.002 describes EPA's effort to characterize the national vehicle fleet for use in developing emission factor for various vehicle categoriesin MOBILE6. This report is an updated version of a report of the same name that was released for stakeholder review in 1997. At the time, stakeholders were informed that additional analysis would be performed and the updated report would then be presented for a new stakeholder review period. This document represents one of two reports which will describe the national fleet as it will be modeling in the MOBILE6 model.The second report is expected to be ready for stakeholder review in late June. Comments on this report and its proposed use in MOBILE6 should be sent to the attention of Tracie Jackson, Assessment and Modeling Division.
