Underground Storage Tanks

Arkansas was granted state program approval (SPA) in 1996. All 5 states in Region 6 have approved programs. Region 6 was the first to have all of its states achieve SPA.

Number of cleanups completed	1,063 (national total: 365,361)
Number of cleanups in backlog to be completed	308 (national total: 108,766)

Percent of facilities in significant operational compliance with:

	Release prevention requirements	61%
	Release detection requirements	69%
	Both prevention and release detection requirements	50%
