Colorado was granted state program approval (SPA) in 2007. Five of the six states in Region 8 have approved programs.

Number of cleanups completed	6,053 (national total: 365,361)
Number of cleanups in backlog to be completed	842 (national total: 108,766)

Percent of facilities in significant operational compliance with:

	Release prevention requirements	89%
	Release detection requirements	85%
	Both prevention and release detection requirements	77%
