Nevada was granted state program approval (SPA) in 1998. In Region 9, Nevada and Hawai'i have approved programs.

Number of confirmed releases	2,425 (national total: 474,127)
Number of cleanups completed	2,233 (national total: 365,361)
Number of cleanups in backlog to be completed	192 (national total: 108,766)

Percent of facilities in significant operational compliance with:

	Release prevention requirements	92%
	Release detection requirements	82%
	Both prevention and release detection requirements	79%
