UST/LUST Program Status In Oklahoma

Oklahoma was granted state program approval (SPA) in 1996. All 5 states in Region 6 have approved programs. Region 6 was the first to have all of its states achieve SPA

Number of confirmed releases 4,504 (national total: 474,127)
Number of cleanups completed 3,991 (national total: 365,361)
Number of cleanups in backlog to be completed 513 (national total: 108,766)

Percent of facilities in significant operational compliance with:
Release prevention requirements 85%
Release detection requirements 79%
Both prevention and release detection requirements 71%
