- The Jefferson Davis Landfill Commission is a public body established to own the Jefferson Davis Landfill which is a regional landfill in Southwest Louisiana. They operate the gate and have retained gas rights. They have contracted the landfill operations to Allied Waste. They have recently contracted with South Tex Treaters to own and operate the first high-Btu project in Louisiana and hope to be operational by January 2008.
