Description: Shafer, Kline & Warren, Inc. (SKW) is a full-service LFG energy plant and grid interconnect supplier. They perform feasibility studies with cost and ROI estimates; design LFG power plants, piping, methane treatment skids, high-voltage substations, and transmission lines; and supply turn-key control systems with built-in wide-area communications. Plants can operate automatically, with no on-site operator required. Generators are sized to match gas availability, while the control system optimizes power generation in order to provide the most economical solution. To supply fuel for the generators, they interface the existing flare to a methane treatment skid that filters, cools, and condenses the gas before feeding it to the plant. Services can include contractor bid preparation, construction supervision/inspection, and total plant and control system commissioning. They provide similar services for CHP plants. Their projects have won EPA CHP and Energy Star Awards.
