Conference Promotes Smart Growth

EPA's Office of Water and the Urban Land Institute are sponsoring the Second Annual Partners for Smart Growth Conference in Austin, Texas from December 15-17, 1998. This conference will demonstrate the importance of identifying common ground where developers, public officials, citizens, and lenders can work together to accommodate growth in ways that enhance the quality of life and protect the environment. The conference will highlight examples of cities and towns using Smart Growth techniques that increase the profitability, livability, and environmental quality of development in these communities.
