1. Report to Congress on Storm Water Runoff Regulations

EPA has released its report to Congress on the Storm Water Phase II regulations. In compliance with the Agency's FY2000 appropriations act, the report provides an analysis on specific provisions of the Storm Water Phase II final regulations. The regulations, signed by the Administrator on October 29, 1999, will reduce storm water runoff from construction sites between one and five acres and municipal storm sewer systems in urbanized areas serving populations of less than 100,000.

EPA is requesting public comment on the report to Congress. The report, along with an advance copy of the Storm Water Phase II final rule, will be published in the Federal Register shortly. For a copy of the report and the final rule, visit http://www.epa.gov/owm/sw/phase2/ on the Internet
