Description: This data layer shows the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Index of Aquatic/Wetland Species at Risk (1996)
for U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) 8-digit hydrologic unit code (HUC) polygons that fall within coastal watersheds as defined by the National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Ocean Service (NOS) Special Projects Office (SPO) Coastal Assessment Framework.

Notes: The Index of Aquatic Species at Risk shapefile shown in the PIVOT map was created by reselecting USGS HUC polygons that
intersect NOAA/NOS/SPO Coastal Assessment Framework coastal watersheds. EPA's tabular Index of Aquatic/Wetland Species at Risk data were joined to
the resulting coastal HUC file. In the PIVOT map, HUC polygons are classified by their joined, EPA aquatic species at risk indices.
