Public Hearings

As part of its effort to gather information on cruise ship discharges and waste management practices, EPA, together with the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) and other Federal agencies, solicited public input from industry officials, government agencies, environmental groups, and concerned citizens through three regional public information hearings in Los Angeles, CA (Sept. 6, 2000), Juneau, AK (Sept. 8, 2000) and Miami, FL (Sept. 12, 2000). After brief presentations by EPA, the USCG, and state environmental agencies, public testimony was heard.
