US EPA Tribal Nonpoint Source Workshop:
Implementing a Nonpoint Source (NPS) Program

Introduction

The 2009 workshop was the first National Tribal Nonpoint Source Workshop. This workshop was designed for tribes that were addressing NPS issues under CWA Section 319 and wanted to enhance their programs. The workshop assisted tribes to achieve and measure environmental results by providing detailed information on implementing best management practices, developing pre- and post- project monitoring protocols, providing data analysis tools, and developing and implementing watershed-based plans.
