- From 2000-2006, Performance Track members that set goals for this indicator increased their emissions of PM-10 by a cumulative total of 63 tons. See the data table for details.
- If the members had instead continued with business as usual, they
would have increased their PM-10 emissions by 148 tons over the three years.
- The results for particulate matter are influenced heavily by two large facilities. One of those facilities, which is no longer a member of Performance Track, experienced an increase in its particulate matter emissions due to challenges with battery combustion stack performance. If this facility's results were removed, the cumulative results would show a decrease in PM-10 emissions.
- EPA Region 2 has established a challenge goal for PM-10. To learn about the challenge goals available in each EPA region and how many facilities have adopted challenge goals, please visit the challenge goals page in the Results section of this site.
- See the Notes on the Results for notes, caveats, and additional information on interpreting the results and graphs presented here.
