The national challenge goals of energy use, water use, priority chemicals use, and habitat are all available in Region 8. To date, members in Region 8 have set two challenge goals.
Ball Metal Beverage Container Corporation's Golden Facility, in Golden, Colorado, has set a challenge goal to reduce its water use from 38.4 million gallons in 2005 to 32.7 million gallons in 2008. The facility will improve the efficiency of its landscaping water use, as well as reducing the use of water in process equipment.
